170 lbs might not be the weight with the most ranked wrestlers at Super 32, but that doesn't mean it won't be as exciting. Seven of the top 20 at the weight will be in Myrtle Beach, including two of the top-10 wrestlers.

Who Breaks Through?

While there are plenty of accomplished and successful wrestlers in the bracket, none of the ranked wrestlers or top contenders have broken through and won a big-time national event on the high school level like a Super 32-caliber event.

Joseph Martin is the only ranked returning placer after taking seventh at 160 last October and was a Cali state runner-up this year.

Watch Martin beat Oregon State commit Kodiak Stephens at Doc Buchanan.

Potential Bracket Busters

If you are looking for a few unranked guys who could make some noise, keep an eye on Ryder Rogotzke, Dom Baker, and Darion Johnson. Rogotzke was third place in Minnesota as a freshman and was also a Fargo All-American in Greco-Roman last summer. Baker will be returning to Myrtle Beach after a run to the finals at the Grappler Fall Classic a few weeks ago where he beat Enzo Morlacci and Bailey Flanagan before eventually falling to Manny Rojas, 7-3. Finally, Johnson, a Washington state champion, was also sixth at NHSCA Freshman Nationals in 2019.
