2019-20 New Jersey High School Rankings

New Jersey High School Rankings: 170

In the state tournament’s premier championship match, Connor O’Neil was able to avenge his Powerade finals loss to Reitsma for his first and only the title. For Reitsma, it was the second straight runner-up finish.

A pleasant surprise here was the emergence of Haddonfield’s Luke Benedict, who qualified for the first time in his career and made his way onto the podium as the school’s first placer since 2012.

Similarly, Jack Kelly was a bit of an under-the-radar guy all season long before his fifth-place finish in AC. Look out for that Rumson Fair-Haven team next year. Those guys return some talent.

Calvetti took a slide down the podium after being injured in the quarters, but his resume is enough to earn him a ranking in the top 10.

At #2, I went with defending state champion from Paulsboro, Brandon Green, whose season was cut short in heartbreaking fashion.
