138lbs was one of the more exciting and sporadic weights all season long. For that reason, we knew there would be some fireworks in AC.

With that said, the three-time champ, Clark was locked in all weekend long. The future Princeton Tiger proved true gamer ability by navigating another tough state bracket draw to win the title.

The three-time state placer Grater showed his own savvy and experience by taking out Pontelandolfo, Talmadge, and Perez-Eli for a wild run to the finals out of the 12-seed.

Meanwhile, Hummel’s third-place finish was one of the highlights of this year’s tournament. The Southern transfer was undefeated before taking two losses in a row in the region final and the first round of states. After that, he rattled off seven straight backside wins, avenging his region finals loss along the way. As they say, when the going gets tough . . .
