Two-time state champion Rune Lawrence has laid waste to the 189-pound field this season and has all first-period falls in the postseason. Lawrence will be one of the heaviest favorites to repeat this weekend for his third state title. Jakob Gilfoil picked up dominant wins over Jacob Scheib and returning state runner-up Jacob Jones on his way to the Southeast Region title and moved up to the #2 ranking. Jackson Zimmerman defeated #7 Carter Chamberlain and #6 Magnus Lloyd to win the Northwest Region title and moved up to #5. Jason Singer defeated Lucas Miller to enter the rankings at #9, while Josh Ryan entered the rankings at #10.
