Ranked #4 at 126, Braeden Davis won his fourth Division 3 state championship, a week after winning a fourth team state title with Dundee, finishing with a 41-0 record. His final high school career mark is 149-6. Davis is also #30 on the Class of 2023 Big Board. Last fall, the Penn State recruit took third at Super 32, knocking off California's Aden Valencia (#11 at 132) and New York's Max Gallagher (#5 at 126) in the process. After winning Cadet and Junior freestyle titles in his previous two trips to Fargo, Davis finished fourth in Junior freestyle last year, including a wins over three-time Minnesota state champion Alan Koehler and Nebraska's Kael Lauridsen (#10 at 126). Davis also knocked off New Jersey's Leo Deluca (#5, 120) at the 2021 Who's No. 1 event.
