1A:    Garrett Luke - Lena, Junior 47-3

2A:    Jayden Colon - Montini, Sophomore 25-4

3A:    Tommy Curran - Dekalb, Senior 30-1

In 3A, a showdown between IWCOA state champion Tapia and IWCOA runner-up Curran seemed like a probable final and that is exactly how the bracket went with Currant edging Tapia to earn his first state title. Colon, who was ranked for most of the year at 138 moved up to 145 and showed why he is one of the best underclassmen in the state earning the 2A title over Joliet Catholic standout Mason Alessio. Garrett Luke finished up a strong junior campaign finding gold in the 1A division.

Other storylines from 145 include Freshmen Jayden Robinson joining his Brother Vincent as an all-state wrestler with a third-place finish in 3A.
