79 - Jordan Burroughs

Though he's at a new weight class, Jordan Burroughs should also be considered the favorite to win gold in Oslo. At 79kg, Burroughs will face an entirely new group of competitors to get back to the top of the world. Of the top ten, Burroughs has only wrestled Olympic Bronze medalist Bekzod Abdurakhmonov in the past. Burroughs is 3-1 career against Bekzod and holds the last win over Abdurakhmonov from the 2019 Yasar Dogu (4-3).

Russia's Radik Valiev came out of their world team trials by defeating Akhmed Usmanov and Gadzhi Nabiev. Usmanov won the 2020 Individual World Cup and Nabiev won world bronze in 2019.
