After not wrestling the first couple of weeks it was good to see Purdue's true freshman Gerrit Nijenhuis on the mat. He went 2-0 defeating formerly #12 Josh Otto and Illinois backup Luke Odom. Nijenhuis is scheduled to take on Andrew Sparks on Sunday in what will be an excellent battle of true freshmen.
