NCAA Rankings 2017-18
141: Another Freed Lee Enters The Fray
Nick Lee became the second Lee in as many weeks to have his redshirt torn off. His wins over Josh Alber — who has victories over Tommy Thorn and Chad Red — and Russell Rohlfing at the Scuffle, plus his recent demolishing of Javier Gasca, earn Lee the #8 spot in his first appearance in the top 20.
Lee's redshirt removal also means Brock Zacherl gets a bump due to his decision over Lee at the Clarion Open in week one of the season.
Tommy Thorn defeated #6 Joey McKenna for the second straight time — Thorn pinned McKenna in OT at the 2017 NCAAs — which moves Thorn up to #10 and drops McKenna to #11.
Nate Limmex defeated Red. Some earlier losses in the season keep Limmex from moving up any higher than #17, while Red, who has a win over Thorn, falls to #12.
