NCAA Rankings 2017-18
125: Spencer Lee Has Entered The Fray!
It was a wild couple of weeks since our last rankings update. Things start getting crazy at 125 and they don't slow down from there.
Nathan Tomasello returned to competition and maintains his #1 spot. Wolfpacker Sean Fausz caused some movement with his defeat of Nick Piccininni in Italy. Pich drops to sixth, allowing Fausz and Darian Cruz to move up. Cruz also sneaks passed Ethan Lizak and Fausz after winning the Scuffle. Cruz, Fausz, Lizak, and Pich are all incredibly close, and arguments can be made for placing them in almost any order.
Ronnie Bresser and Sebastian Rivera move up due to their strong Midlands performances. Spencer Lee makes his debut at #11 with a limited body of work, though expect to see him climb higher as the season progresses.
Drew Mattin, Sean Russell, Jay Schwarm, and Luke Welch all form another tier, with multiple instances of circular wins between them. Zeke Moisey then appears a few spots higher after avenging a few early-season losses, whereas Ryan Millhof is headed in the other direction after another tough loss.
All that movement and we're only one weight in!
