Gazimagomedov Takes #1 At 70kg

#4 Magomedmurad Gadzhiev (POL) has made the move back down to 65 KG where he is the returning world runner-up. #11 Azamat Nurikov (BLR) has made the move up to 74 KG where he won the Medved in september. Gadzhiev is currently the #1 ranked wrestler at 65 KG while Nurikov is #9 at 74 KG. #3 Zurab Iakobishvili (GEO) won his second Ziolkowski title by beating Amandyk Bakeev (KAZ) 12-2 in the finals. 

#7 Evgeni Zherbaev (RUS) avenged a 13-3 loss from Russian Nationals with a 8-0 win in the semifinals of the Korkin over #5 Soslan Ramonov (RUS) to move up three spots in the rankings to #4. #9 David Baev (RUS) beat #6 Andrey Kviatkovski (UKR) and #9 Agaguseynov Mustafaev (AZE) to win the Medved and move up three spots in the rankings to #6. #17(65) Agaguseynov Mustafaev (AZE) beat European bronze medalist #10 Murtuz Muslimov (AZE) 4-2 in the semis before getting teched 10-0 in the finals of the Medved by #6 David Baev (RUS), he enters the 70 KG rankings at #9.

#10 Murtuz Muslimov (AZE) teched #12 Mustafa Kaya (TUR) 13-0 in the round of 16 before losing to #9 Agaguseynov Mustafaev (AZE) in the semis 4-2 but he came back to beat Abdullagadzhi Magomedov (RUS) for bronze. Russian Nationals runner-up #13 Arpak Sat (RUS) DNP’d at the Korkin after losing 5-5 to Nadirbek Khizriev (RUS) in the round of 16. Because Gadzhiev and Nurikov left the weight, he doesn’t move in the rankings but Korkin 5th place finisher Nadirbek Khizriev (RUS) is able to get in the rankings at #16 for his win over Sat. Korkin runner-up Byambadorj Bat-erdene (MGL) debuts in the rankings at #20 after beating Asian Champ #18 Ikhtiyor Navruzov (UZB) 12-10 in the Korkin semis.
