2024-25 NCAA DI Wrestling Rankings
174 - Dean Hamiti
Dean Hamiti takes over the #1 spot at 174 pounds after defeating Keegan O'Toole and Levi Haines to win the NCAA title.
The top 7 all fall in line with the top seven finishers at NCAAs. However, Brevin Cassella holds at #8 because of his head-to-head win over 8th-place finisher Danny Wask at EIWAs two weeks ago. Beyond that, Cassella only lost to Kennedy and Singleton at NCAAs - those losses were also shared by Wask in Philadelphia.
Carson Kharchla drops seven spots after losing to Lenny Pinto and Lennox Wolak. Kharchla's regular season resume including wins over Patrick Kennedy and Danny Braunagel keeps him from dropping further.
Lenny Pinto is in a similar situation as Kharchla. Pinto suffered an upset loss to Dalton Harkins but his wins over Kharchla, Kennedy, and Braunagle keep him from dropping too far in the rankings.
Because there were so many upsets at the NCAA Tournament, we'll limit our rankings explanations to the top 15. If you have any questions, we welcome and encourage your feedback.
