Pennsylvania High School Wrestling Mini Boards

Class of 2026

The youngest high school class in Pennsylvania is already very proven and will only improve as their careers continue. The top two on this freshman class will not be participating in PIAA competition until their junior seasons as Bishop McCort is barred until the 2024-25 season, but they are two of the absolute best in the country. Jax Forrest won a U17 World silver medal last summer before picking up a win at Who’s Number One. Forrest placed third at Super 32, was an Ironman runner-up and a Powerade champion. Forrest also participated in three college opens this season where he was third at the Clarion Open, third at the Jonathan Kaloust Bearcat Open, and won the Edinboro Open as just a freshman in high school. Forrest was also second at the U17 World Team Trials in April. Bo Bassett avenged a loss to Anthony Knox to win a Super 32 title and followed that up by dominating through both the Ironman and Powerade. Bassett finished fourth at the U17 World Team Trials in April.

Adam Waters had a fantastic freshman season where he finished 44-1 and avenged his only loss of the year against Abe Wojcikiewicz for third place at the Beast of the East. Following that, Waters dominated the rest of the way and picked up three wins over returning PIAA champion Holden Garcia including in the PIAA AA finals after throwing a headlock and picking up a fall in 1:43 for his first PIAA title! Waters made the U17 Greco World Team and was third at the U17 World Team Trials in freestyle last month. Keanu Dillard finished the year 24-0 and won his first AAA state title at 107 pounds and also finished fifth at the U17 World Team Trials last month.

Sam Herring also will not be participating in PIAA competition until his junior season, but he made the U17 Greco World Team last month in Vegas and finished fourth in freestyle at the World Team Trials. Brandt Harer, Reagan Milheim, and Dominic Deputy all had fantastic opening seasons in the PIAA, with all three finishing as state runner-ups to slot in at #6, #7, and #8 respectively.
