The Steubenville district had some fun results. #2 Taylor pinned #4 Smith in the district finals, but a closer examination shows some real shakeups. Unranked Bucklew would lose to Taylor in the second round, and then he went on a backside run to place third and punch his ticket to state. He beat former ranked Mueller in the consi-semis and then knocked off #6 Snair from Carrollton in the third-place match. #3 Hisley from St. Marys Memorial remains undefeated, defeating #7 Gonzales in a 3-0 shutout.

#1 Limbert remains untouchable, ending all his district matches early and defeating former and current ranked wrestlers on his route to a district title. Czarnecki had a great tournament making the finals of the Garfield Heights district. He took out #9 and #10 to earn his spot at the state tournament. The Rocco win was especially significant considering it set up former ranked Osborne vs. Rocco, where Rocco would win and punch his ticket to state.
