Joseph Jeter vs Nicholas Singer Set For Who's Number One On October 11
#1 Joseph Jeter and #2 Nicholas Singer are set to compete at Who's Number One on Saturday, October 11 in Coralville, Iowa.
On Saturday, October 11, #1 Joseph Jeter of Oklahoma power program Edmond North will square off against #2 Nicholas Singer from the nation's top high school team, Faith Christian. The meeting is a rematch of their 2023 third place Fargo bout, but both wrestlers are greatly improved since then.
Cornell commit Joseph Jeter is an Ironman finalist, a Fargo placer, an Oklahoma state champion, and a Greco-Roman U17 World team member. At the 2024 U17 World Championships, Jeter punched his ticket to the bronze medal match and was just one win shy of bringing home hardware. After spending his junior season at 157 lbs, he's made the move up to 175 where he occupies the nation's top spot.

Nicholas Singer's stock has surged recently. Not only did he secure a Fargo title in July, he was the outstanding wrestler of the Junior men's freestyle division. Last season, he helped Faith Christian earn the distinction of being the nation's top high school program when he won a PIAA title to help the Lions take the crown from #2 Bishop McCort. He also secured podium finishes this season at Ironman, Beast of the East, Escape the Rock, and the U17 US Open.

Their Previous Meeting
Jeter and Singer met over two years ago in the 16U 152 lbs third place match at Fargo. Jeter won that contest by tech in a high-paced bout that showcased Singer's leg attacks and Jeter's unconventional ability to turn from any position. This will be their first folkstyle meeting in an NCAA ruleset.
