All-Americans Per Conference

Champs Per Conference

Placement & Advancement Points Per Conference

As the great Shane Sparks would say, the Big Ten is the nation's premiere wrestling conference, and it's got the numbers to back it up!
All-Americans Per Home State

Champs Per Home State

Advancement & Placement Points Per Home State

A rare year in which Pennsylvania did not have the most All-Americans or advancement & placement points. I don't think it's a sign of trouble for the Keystone state but rather an indication of the growth in other states.
For instance, Wisconsin is continuing it's recent trend with another strong performance, including two champs (Mitchell Mesenbrink and Stpehen Buchanan).
Raw numbers are great, but what about the added context of adjusting the numbers per capita? Great idea, let's see them.
All-Americans Per Home State Per Million Inhabitants

Advancement & Placement Points Per Home State Per Million Inhabitants

Per capita is truly Iowa's time to shine. Nebraska also showing out on a population adjusted basis. Corn country = wrestling country.

Now how about some maps!

Heat Map of All Round of 16ers, Bloodrounders and All-Americans

Can't have a By the Numbers article without a heat map! I would have included round of 24 finishers but the free version of Mapline got stingier with regards to the number of locations they let you map for free.
That's all for 2025, see everyone next March in Cleveland!
