Returning national finalist Quincy Monday officially made the move up to 165 pounds at the Midlands and had a great performance up a weight. Monday was 6-0 with wins over HM Holden Heller, #11 Danny Braunagel, and defeated returning All-American #5 Dean Hamiti for the 165-pound title. With that showing, Monday immediately put himself in the title contender conversation at 165 pounds. Julian Ramirez was 2-1 at the National Collegiate Duals with a win over #19 Matthew Olguin and gave #3 David Carr a very competitive match in a loss.
