True freshman Vince Cornella finished the regular season 15-4 with wins over Josh Koderhandt, Darren Miller, and Matt Kazimir and his only EIWA loss came to Malyke Hines to maintain the #1 ranking at 141 pounds. Koderhandt has two wins over Miller this season which kept him at #2, while Miller has wins over Kazimir and Hines which secured him the #3 ranking. Despite wins over Cornella and Koderhandt, Hines was prevented from moving any higher than #5 due to his losses to Danny Coles, Miller, and Kazimir this season. The top five in this weight class are very solid and have all shown the ability to defeat one another, which should make for a fun bracket at the EIWA tournament.
