2022-23 NCAA DI Rankings

Rocky Elam

Max Dean lost two matches over the weekend to Ethan Laird and Michael Beard. Because of that loss, Dean drops below both of those wrestlers in the rankings. Laird is undefeated on the year with wins over Cole Urbas, Lute Stout, and Kordell Norfleet. On top of that, Laird has a win over Michael Beard from a few years ago so slides up to #4 in the rankings.

Beard rises a few spots in the rankings but has a loss on the year to Nino Bonaccorsi so is kept from cracking the top 4 for now. 

At the Iowa-Iowa State dual, Yonger Bastida took out NCAA runner-up Jacob Warner to jump up a few spots to the #2. 

Rocky Elam takes over the #1 spot after defeating Jacob Warner at the NWCA All-Star Classic and with wins at last year's NCAA tournament over Nino Bonaccorsi and Yonger Bastida. Beyond that, the only wrestle Elam lost to at last year's tournament, Stephen Buchanan, has been removed from the rankings due to his transfer and redshirt announcement.
