2020-21 Wisconsin High School Rankings: 132

This weight was hard. 

Bailey Thelen wrestled up at 138 until regionals, beating two Division 1 state qualifiers, Sam Lorenz and Ethan Riddle, but falling to another Andrew Lopez. Nine wins over state qualifiers (past or present) and only four losses, three to state champ Lucas Joniaux, puts him in the top spot.

Cherba took two of three from Goebel but comparing them also must consider rock-paper-scissors style win patterns, both with Mayson Maclennan and Logan Stumpf (Goebel won; Cherba lost). Ultimately, in a near toss-up, Goebel's six-point win over Alex Birchman was the tiebreaker. 

From there, Willis lost to Cherba, Erickson lost to Willis, and then . . . chaos.

-Logan Stumpf lost to Brett Franklin and Tyler Goebel but beat Josh Cherba twice, plus Cody Minor.

-Matt Rogge lost to Cale Anderson but beat Josh Cherba, plus Alex Birchman. 

-Sam Lorenz lost to Bailey Thelen and Josh Cherba but beat Brett Franklin and Cale Anderson.

-Cale Anderson has the Sam Lorenz loss, but beat Brett Franklin and Matt Rogge.

-Brett Franklin took losses to Lorenz, Anderson, and Goebel (twice), but beat Stumpf.

It is basically a game of paper-rock-scissors that also includes a wine opener, sandpaper, a laser pointer, a NERF gun, and a wooden dowel. There are only wrong answers!
