2015 Russian nationals bronze medalist Evgeni Zherbaev returned to 70 KG by winning the President Cup of Buryatia over past Russian Nationals medalists Arpak Sat and Murad Nukhadiev along with beating #4 Cherman Valiev. Add in his wins over #2 Gazimagomedov, Soslan Ramonov, #5 Baev, and #5(74) Tsabolov and Zherbaev is a lock for the #1 spot at 70 KG with Gazimagomedov having dropped matches to #6(INT) Agaguseynov Mustafaev (AZE) and Gadzhimurad Alikhmaev (RUS). Two-time Russian nationals bronze medalist Murad Nukhadiev debuts in the rankings at #9 after finishing runner-up to #1 Evgeni Zherbaev at the President Cup of Buryatia.
