2019 International Rankings - Men's Freestyle
86 KG Hassan Yazdani (IRI)
Reigning world champ David Taylor has been removed from the rankings due to his season-ending injury. The erstwhile top 6 remain unchanged from the last ranking. Ianulov got a big boost due to his silver medal and victory over Erdin at European Championships, also for his continued success while claiming the Corneanu title.
Another big mover is Myles Amine, who debuts at #10 thanks to his victories over Baranowski and Gostiev at Euro Games (a confusingly different tournament than the European Championships).
More chaos ensued further down the rankings. Gostiev and Yasar have recent wins over Suleymanov, who has a recent win over Erdin, who is still the reigning world silver medalist.
Dudarov has a win over Erdin as well, but was beaten by Shapiev, who was dusted by Nathan Jackson in the Medved finals. Jackson remains just on the bubble, along with several other worthies such as Soslan Ktsoev, Azamat Dauletbekov, Deepak Punia and Boris Makoev, most of whom are expected to compete in Nur-Sultan at the World Championships.
Finally, Lin and Orgodol break into the top 20 of a very deep weight class thanks to respective wins over Baranowski and Torreblanca.
