2020-21 NCAA Division II Rankings

NCAA DII 149-Pound Rankings

149 is going to be a fun weight to see unfold this season. It starts with Kyle Rathman up top who put together a great junior campaign, going 16-4 last season. We follow that up with Chris Donathan who put together an impressive freshman season last year. Donathan did have a couple of losses to guys in the ranks last season, that he either avenged later in the year, or that they moved out of the weight. Londoff of Lindenwood placed third in 2019; he is back from his redshirt last season. Speelman of Ashland split with Donathan last season and put together a great year as a junior. Sam Turner of Nebraska-Kearney was a mid-season transfer from Wyoming last year. He took a loss early after the break but was dominant once he got going. Juwan Edmond was a runner-up for Notre Dame before transferring to McKendree last season. He didn't quite have the season that he was looking for last year, but he will be right there as he has shown in the past.

Freshmen to Watch

Eric Faught - Upper Iowa - 3x Iowa placer, 1x state champ. Undefeated redshirt season at 18-0
