2020-21 New Jersey High School Rankings

2020-21 New Jersey High School Rankings: 132

Hanover Park senior Joey Olivieri has quietly rolled to two New Jersey state titles. The Rutgers commit will enter this season as the #2 P4P guy in the state.

The weight returns some depth behind Olivieri, but the real question is this: Where will everyone in this crowded group of middleweights end up? There is certainly potential for guys like Nardone or Almeyda to jump weights and get in the mix. The weight above features game competitors in Hummel and Cetta. Olivieri could have his work cut out for him for title #3.

Simon Ruiz is the future here. If he continues to grow the next few years, the upperweights better look out. He beat Anthony White, so he takes over at #2 with the graduation of Cedeno. I’m not quite sure he’s ready to challenge Olivieri yet, but we’ll see. His ceiling is high.

Brock Zurawski is another freshman who showed a lot of promise in his first year at a tough weight.

After further review of their resumes, Spencer Stewart sneaks in ahead of Jake Gentile. Gentile finished the season strong, but Stewart had fewer and slightly more acceptable losses to slot in just ahead.
