2023 International Wrestling Rankings - Men's Freestyle

Takuto Otoguro

Alik Khadartsev is the big mover at 65kg after winning the Ivan Poddubny tournament in Russia with wins over #13 Ibragim Abdurakhmanov, #14 Ibrahim Ibragimov, and #19 Tulga Tumur-Ochir. Of note, Abdurakhmanov came back for bronze to beat Ibragimov.

The challenge ranking 65kg came from America after the world team trials. Yianni Diakomihalis and Evan Henderson will meet in Final X after making the finals and both move up in the rankings for their efforts. Henderson had the most impressive tournament taking out Pat Lugo, Kendric Maple, and Nick Lee in successive matches. Diakomihalis had two dominant wins over Ian Parker and Luke Pletcher. And then there’s Joey McKenna. Up until this point, McKenna has had the best results on the senior level with wins over #13 Abdurakhmonov and #17 Chakaev from the Yarygin along with a win over #20 Henderson at the Dogu in February. Despite the loss to Ian Parker, McKenna holds his spot at #16 because of his overall resume and because he came back to take third - avenging his loss to Ian Parker and defeating Josh Saunders, Pat Lugo, and Nick Lee.
