Because most tournaments were postponed, there were limited results in March. The only notable tournaments were the Pan-Am Championships and the Pan-Am Olympic Games Qualifier. Due to the limited results, there was no movement at 97kg in the rankings.

The most notable result saw #4 Kyle Snyder (USA) defeat #19 Reineras Salas in the finals at the Pan-Am Championships. Salas would go on to qualify for the Olympics a week later by winning the Pan-Am Olympic Games Qualifier. The other qualifier, Jordan Steen (CAN), forfeited to Salas in the finals.
