Yones Emami is the only new face in the 74kg rankings this set. He won the Asian Olympic Qualifier and is in the driver’s seat to be the representative for Iran in Tokyo. Bekzod Abdurakhmonov also qualified for the Olympics by making the finals at the Asian Qualifier. In the finals, Bekzod forfeited to Emami but will not drop because of that forfeit. 

The obvious other notable result at 74kg was Kyle Dake unseating Jordan Burroughs in two straight matches at the Olympic Trials. Dake currently sits at the 4 spot behind Sidakov, Zhamalov and Tsabolov. This is due primarily to Dake’s lack of results at 74kg and the timeline of wins and losses for Sidakov, Zhamalov and Tsabolov.
