2019-20 NCAA DIII Rankings

184 John Boyle - Western New England University

Another returning champion who will be looking to defend his title in 2020. Boyle is a two-time All-American and won his first NCAA title out of the #4 seed spot a season ago. Boyle became Western New England’s first DIII NCAA champion in any sport and finished the year with a 33-6 record.

Josh Glantzman put himself into the spotlight in Roanoke; he entered the tournament unseeded and walked away as an All-American after finishing in fourth place. The senior is a two-time conference champion and will look to get the big stage in 2020. Glantzman is looking to become the USMMA’s third national champion and only the third wrestler to reach finals in program history. Dylan Roth and Josh Edel are the final two returning All-Americans at 184; both have the potential to do some damage in 2019-20. Roth was the one seed at NCAAs in 2019 but lost to Boyle in the semifinals and settled for sixth place, his only three losses on the year came in March. Similar to Glantzman, Edel entered NCAAs unseeded and walked away as an All-American with an eighth-place finish. Tanner Vasser and Ben Sarasin were on the podium at 174 in 2019; they will both look to repeat the feat in 2020 at a new weight class.
