2019-20 NCAA DIII Rankings

149 Brett Kaliner - Stevens Institute of Technology

The two-time All-American secured four bonus points wins on his way to a third-place finish at the 2019 NCAA Championships. Kaliner was the 2018 NCAA runner-up at 141 and has eyes set on climbing a few spots up the podium in 2020 to secure his first NCAA title. Kaliner can put up a lot of points and finished in the top 10 in each statistical category in DIII (most dominant, falls, tech falls); 39 of his 42 wins were by bonus.

Kaliner will be pushed by four returning All Americans: Zachary Cooper, Luke Hernandez, Evan Drill, and Brady Fritz. Drill and Fritz secured top-six finishes at 141 in 2019, and they will look to repeat their success this season at 149. Drill placed fourth at 149 in 2018.

The always-dangerous Da’mani Burns came up short in 2019 after entering NCAAs as the #1 seed. Burns will look to continue his pinning ways and secure his first All-American finish, Burns was the DIII pin leader a season ago with 23. 2018 All-American Jimmy McAuliffe is up at 149 after spending two seasons at 141 to start his career, the two-time NCAA qualifier will look to continue his success at a new weight. Stanley Bleich missed out on his second trip to NCAAs in 2019 but had some signature wins throughout the regular season which made him worthy of a top-10 ranking to start the year.
