2026 Wrestling World Championship Rankings

125 kg - Amir Zare

Shamil Sharipov suffered a surprising loss to Buheeerdun at the Asian Games. Despite the loss, Sharipov holds at the #2 spot for his overall resume that includes wins in the past year over Abudlla Kurbanov, Giorgi Meshvildishvili, Dinesh, Wyatt Hendrickson, Yonger Bastida, and Tony Cassioppi.

Buheeerdun enters the rankings at #7 but he's kept from rising higher becuase of losses this year to Yedige Kassimbek (two) and Jose Diaz.

Kassimbek was another wrestler who impressed at the Asian Games after wrestling Amir Zare to a 3-3 criteria loss. Along with the win over Buheeerdun this year, Kassimbek also defeated Shamil Sharipov in July. However, his loss to Dinesh in June, and lack of other ranked wins, keeps Kassimbek at the #6 spot.
