2026 Men's Freestyle International Wrestling Rankings

74 kg - Yones Emami

Yones Emami (#1): Jumps from #9 to #1 by winning Asian Games gold, beating #9 Razambek Jamalov, #17 Nurkozha Kaipanov and #2 Yoshinosuke Aoyagi in the final, plus #18 Sagar Jaglan. Along with those wins at the Asian Games, Emami also defeated Inalbek Sheriev at the Muhamet Malo in February. The unique aspect of Emami being ranked #1 is that he won't be Iran's world team rep because he lost two straight to Amir Yazdani. Still, Emami's victories at 74 kg are better than anyone else in the weight this year.

Yoshinosuke Aoyagi (#2): Holds his spot with an Asian Games silver and a win over Rassadin, despite losing the final to Emami.

Razambek Jamalov (#9): Falls from #1 to #9 after losing to Emami and then to Jaglan in the Asian Games repechage.

Kurban Shiraev (#11): Climbs from #20 to #11 by winning the Khadartsev Cup over #12 Ansor Zakuev in the final.

Sagar Jaglan (#18): Enters the rankings with an Asian Games bronze, after beating Jamalov in the repechage and Kaipanov in the bronze-medal match.

Viktor Rassadin (#19): Falls from #10 to #19 after losing to Aoyagi at the Asian Games.

Magomed Baitukaev (#20): Enters the rankings as U23 World champion, beating Jayden James in the final.
