2025 World Wrestling Championship Rankings

79 kg - Akhmed Usmanov

Mohammad Nokhodi enters the rankings at #2. Nokhodi won a bronze medal at worlds last year but has been off the mat with an injury since last October. However, the Iranian wrestling federation just announced Nokhodi will be the world team representative for Iran at 79 kg this year. 

Vasyl Mykhailov comes into the rankings at #8 after winning a silver medal at the Ziolkowski. There, Mykhailov defeated DJ Hamiti but lost to Simon Ruiz.
