Class of 2026

Ten freshmen reached the podium at the New Jersey state tournament this year and all 10 are included here. 

Jayden James tops the list here after capping his 34-3 season with a third-place finish in Atlantic City. His lone loss at the tournament came in overtime in the semifinals against eventual champion Logan Roman. 

Five freshmen seized podium spots at 106, led by runner-up Nathan Braun, followed by Salvatore Borrometi (third), Jonathan McGinty (fifth), Anthony DiAndrea (seventh) and Matthew Gould (eighth). 

Santino Rodriguez checks in here at #3. He placed sixth in Atlantic City in a star-studded 120-pound bracket that featured Anthony Knox, Dan Jones and Adrian DeJesus. Rodriguez’s 35-7 season included a seventh-place finish at the Beast of the East.
