Despite his 3-1 loss in the Cheesehead Finals to #5 nationally ranked Joel Adams, DuChateau is still seen at the top of this weight. The returning state champion has yet to lose to an in-state opponent in his varsity career. Freedom’s returning state runner-up Nathan VandeHey holds second in the rankings following an 8-0 win over #3 Hoyt Blaskowski a few weekends ago. Blaskowski had to beat the next guy up, Tarrin Riley, on the way to that match. Corbin Ramos goes from unranked to #5 on the back of a dominant Highlander Invite Championship and an undefeated Zelinski Duals. #8 Ayden Hart and #10 Bryce Crowley will also enter the same regional, so Crowley will have more than one opportunity to try and collect a revenge win before state.
