As the buzzer sounded on the 165-pound semifinal at the 2022 NCAA Championships, Keegan O’Toole had miraculously shut out All-American Cameron Amine on one good ankle. Bellowing over the public address speakers inside Little Caesars Arena in Detroit, the raucous crowd heard announcer Jason Bryant say one sentence, “Tiger Style is into the finals!”

In his final season, Jarrett Jacques is wrestling more free than ever before

After a gauntlet of competition over the last three weeks, the Missouri Tigers will finally welcome a two-week reprieve.

2022 was another banner calendar year for Missouri Wrestling. The Tigers took home a trophy case’s worth of accolades between the second half of the 2021-22 season and the first half of this season.

There will be no rest this holiday season for Missouri coach Brian Smith and company. The 10th-ranked Tigers downed #15 North Dakota State Tuesday before heading to Chattanooga, Tenn., to ring in the new year the Southern Scuffle.

It’s been a busy week for Missouri wrestling.

Off the mat, one of Missouri redshirt junior Zach Elam’s favorite activities is hunting. Over his last eight matches dating back to the NCAA Championships last March, that line between hobby and sport might be getting blurry.

Missouri coach Brian Smith has fielded some really good teams in his 24 seasons at the helm of the Tigers’ wrestling program.
