Brody Teske Transferring To Northern Iowa
Brody Teske has announced he will be transferring to Northern Iowa to wrestle for the Panthers.
Brody Teske has announced his new destination in college.
The four-time Iowa state champ is heading to Cedar Falls to enroll in Northern Iowa. Teske was recruited by UNI out of high school and will be joining the Panther Train after leaving Penn State earlier this month.
The redshirt freshman wrestled just 13 matches during his time in Happy Valley. He wrestled twice in duals and attached at the Black Knight Invite, so in all likelihood he will have three years of eligibility remaining.
He entered the transfer portal on January 8 and visited UNI this past weekend. It is unclear what head coach Doug Schwab and his staff have in mind for Teske, but their current starter at 125 is Jay Schwarm, currently ranked 18th.
Schwarm is a senior, and behind him are redshirt freshman Kyle Biscoglia and true freshman Kyle Golhoffer. Up at 133, the Schwab Mob is starting unranked Jack Skudlarczk, a sophomore. Their depth comes in the form of redshirt freshman Drew Bennett.
Coming out of Fort Doge, Teske was #34 on the 2018 Big Board and eighth in the final 126lb weight class ranking.
