Ever since Nick Suriano's win over world bronze medalist Joe Colon at Beat the Streets, wrestling fans have wondered whether he would dedicate himself to freestyle before the 2020 Olympics. After Suriano opted out of the 2019 freestyle season, some of the conversation around his 2020 Olympic aspirations died down.

That was before September, when news broke that Nick Suriano would be taking an Olympic redshirt. Since that time, many have wondered when we would see Suriano on the freestyle scene. We won't have to wait much longer.

Suriano will apparently make his first senior-level tournament appearance next weekend at the Bill Farrell Memorial International in New York. The stakes are high as only the Bill Farrell champion will qualify for the 2020 U.S. Olympic Trials.

Suriano will have his work cut out for him as Seth Gross, Nathan Tomasello, Darian Cruz, and others are registered in the stacked 57kg bracket. Of course, all of that action will be live on Flo.
