Next Friday and Saturday in Manhattan, a group of the nation's finest men's freestylers will descend upon NYC to qualify for the OTT and keep their dream of making an Olympic team alive.

Not yet registered, but according to an email sent out to members of the Scarlet Knight Wrestling Club, Nick Suriano will be wrestling as well. We could get a rekindling of the longstanding Tomasello/Cruz rivalry that started back in 2010 at Super 32 but has never happened on the senior level. This will be Seth Gross' first time down at 57kg so everyone will be tuned in to see how the weight cut may affect him.

Oliver and Molinaro, who wrestled for the national team spot in Raleigh, are your one and two seeds based on entries so far. Throw in guys on Olympic Redshirts like Eierman and Kolodzik, plus Heil and Meredith. Oh, and Ethan Lizak now at 143 pounds!

What if I were to tell you Isaiah Martinez, Mekhi Lewis, Jason Nolf, and Vincenzo Joseph would all be in one weight class? Is that something you might be interested in? Nolf isn't currently registered, but his sponsor ScrapLife says he'll be competing, and the word out of Penn State media days is that Cenzo is planning on wrestling.

Dieringer, Brooks, and MyMar are your top three seeds in some order right now, depending on how they view Ringer coming up from 79kg. Throw in Nate Jackson, Drew Foster, and Willie Miklus and there is an excellent concentration of talent already.

Based on current entries, this is the only weight where the qualifier may not necessarily be the winner. The verbiage from USA Wrestling says, "The highest placed Senior Freestyle USA athlete per weight category winning a medal, who has yet to qualify," meaning that if, say, Gadson and Snyder meet in the finals, Kyven does not need to win to be in the Trials. It will also be Snyder's first time competing in a Nittany Lion WC singlet.

Past age level medalists in Bradly and Hemida are your biggest names so far registered, but according to Minnesota coach Brandon Eggum Gable Steveson is expected to compete.
