Just a week away from signing day, one of the nation's last major dominoes is coming off the board. Jace Luchau (Selma, CA) has announced his verbal to wrestle for Fresno State in college.

Luchau now gives the Bulldogs three commitments from Top-50 seniors from California, joining Ryan Reyes of Gilroy and Matt Olguin of Buchanan.

The senior mentioned his close relationship with the Fresno coaching staff as a major sell, in particular Izzy Silva.

I’ve seen a lot of colleges and coaches, Izzy was the right fit for me and it’s a place where I feel I can build my own legacy.

Currently ranked second at 152, Luchau made a point that it was his freestyle and Greco that helped him get noticed and attain his ranking. He said, "Wrestling in the off season is what got me attention and made me a better wrestler."

For the latest 2019 Big Board, Luchau comes in at #41, the second highest rated prospect from California. At the time of his commitment, Luchau was one of only three kids in the Top-50 who had not yet announced their college decision.

As of now, the plan is for Luchau to go 157 at the next level. We have him as the sixth overall 157lb prospect, though he said he would be open to going down to 149 or up to 165 if the coaching staff needed him to.
