Kyle Snyder's Suspension Lifted After Pleading To Lesser Charge
Kyle Snyder is no longer suspended by SafeSport after pleading to a lesser charge of disorderly conduct.

On Monday, May 19, Kyle Snyder pled guilty to disorderly conduct. This was a lesser charge than he originally faced after being arrested on May 9 for soliciting a prostitute. The penalty for the disorderly conduct charge was a $250 fine.
Snyder also completed a class at The John School, a course “designed for men arrested for soliciting sex.” Snyder, who was not in the courtroom in Columbus but appeared via a video call, shared what he learned from his experience and the course, stating:
I’ve learned a lot through this process, and it’s taught me a lot about myself. I plan on making better decisions…I learned about why I made the decision that I did. Which was because I had too much pride, and I learned about the impact these decisions have on my family.”

Will Kyle Snyder Compete At Final X?
Kyle Snyder qualified to wrestle in Final X after winning the US Open at 97 kg in April. However, after Snyder’s arrest, he was temporarily suspended by the US Center for SafeSport due to the pending allegations. Since the completion of his criminal charges, Snyder was removed from SafeSport’s Centralized Disciplinary Database and USA Wrestling’s Interim Membership Suspension list. With Snyder’s removal from these disciplinary lists, he will likely be eligible to compete for a world team spot at Final X against Hayden Zillmer on June 14.
Though he will likely be eligible to compete, Snyder has not yet released a statement on whether or not he intends to compete this year. Because of that, this is still an ongoing story that will be updated as we receive more information on Snyder's competition plans for Final X.
