Four-time World and Olympic champion Kyle Snyder was reportedly arrested Friday night in a prostitution sting in Ohio.
Multiple media outlets reported Monday that Snyder was one of 16 men charged in a Friday night undercover operation on the north side of Columbus. According to reports, the Columbus police department posted an escort ad on the internet, and Snyder allegedly responded to the ad at 8:15 p.m. and agreed to meet at a nearby hotel, where he paid cash to an undercover officer and requested a sex act.
Snyder was arrested for engaging in prostitution and released from custody at the scene. He was summoned to appear in court on May 19.
Snyder is scheduled to compete at Final X on June 14 in Newark, N.J. The nine-time World and Olympic medalist earned his spot in the best-of-three series by winning the 97-kilogram title last month at the U.S. Open in Las Vegas.
