Kyle Snyder Facing Temporary Suspension By SafeSport
SafeSport has temporarily suspended Kyle Snyder due to his recent arrest for soliciting a prostitute.

On Wednesday, May 14, Kyle Snyder was temporarily suspended by the U.S. Center for SafeSport due to his recent arrest for soliciting a prostitute. The next step is for the US Center for SafeSport to make a decision regarding Kyle Snyder's competition status moving forward.
Will Kyle Snyder Compete At Final X?
According to USA Wrestling, "The U.S. Center for SafeSport is an independent nonprofit organization responsible for responding to and preventing emotional, physical, and sexual misconduct and abuse in the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Movement." Because Snyder has an alleged SafeSport Code violation, he is now subject to a disciplinary decision to be made by the U.S. Center for SafeSport. The timeline for this decision remains unknown at this time.
This disciplinary decision has potential impacts for the 2025 US World Team qualification process due to Snyder having qualified for Final X at 97 kg after winning the US Open on April 26. Final X will occur on June 14 in Newark, New Jersey, and will determine the 2025 world team for the United States.
Final X is a best-of-3 format, and Snyder's opponent will be determined by the winner of the World Team Trials Challenge Tournament on May 16-17. If Snyder is determined ineligible to compete at Final X after May 17, then, according to the qualifying process, the winner of the World Team Trials Challenge Tournament will automatically be the 97 kg world team representative for the United States this year.
