2022-23 NCAA D1 Dual Rankings
Team Dual Rankings
Arizona State continues to drop in the rankings after losing to Cal Pol but holds at #21 for now because of wins on the season over #9 Missouri and #18 Rutgers. While the win over Arizona State is notable, Cal Poly has past losses on the season to unranked Lehigh, Air Force, and Northern Colorado keeping them out of the top 25.
It's also worth noting Virginia Tech's win over NC State. In that dual, which was likely the best dual of the year, the Hokies edged out the Wolfpack, 16-14. We already had Virginia Tech ranked above NC State, so this win solidifies that ranking for Virginia Tech. There's a case to be made for NC State to be ranked above Ohio State. NC State defeated Northern Iowa at the Collegiate Duals in December the day after Northern Iowa defeated Ohio State. However, because of Ohio State's win over Virginia Tech earlier this season, we gave the Buckeyes "the nod" based on the strength of that win.
Illinois moved up a few spots after defeating Maryland. Oklahoma comes in at #22 after edging out West Virginia. Oklahoma does have a loss on the season to Lehigh, however, Lehigh has since lost to Pitt and Penn - dropping out of the top 25 this week. Despite the Lehigh win for Penn, they also just lost to Stanford last week, keeping the Quakers just outside the top 25.
