Laird Root knocked off Collin Guffey at the Temecula Battle For the Belt a week after beating Weston Dalton at Doc B. Root had two losses to Taythan Silva at Doc B which kept him ouf of the top 20, but another top-ten win over Guffey moves him way up.

Former #1 PJ Duke is inactive due to injury. When he returns to competition, he'll be back in the rankings.
