2020-21 NCAA Division III Rankings

NCAA DIII 165-Pound Rankings

The Division III season concluded on March 13 in Coralville, Iowa. The National Wrestling Coaches Association and the DIII Leadership Group put together an incredible National Championships for all the teams that could participate. The two-day event was held in Xtream Arena. The venue was amazing and helped end the DIII season on a positive note. The American Rivers Conference really flexed their muscle. Seven of the ten national champions were from that conference. Coe College had three and one runner-up, Wartburg had two and four runner-ups, and Loras went two for two in the finals. There were plenty of other storylines over the 48 hours in Iowa and 80 All-American honors were earned. I discuss more of the results and headlines in my latest D3 Nation podcast release. The final set DIII individual rankings are the top-12 at each weight class. The top-8 at each weight reflect the results from NWCA National Championships. Just like the previous rankings, only individuals who competed at this event were ranked. This was not your typical year in DIII which made it even harder for the rankings. The entire DIII wrestling community looks forward to a full season next academic year. The biggest division in collegiate wrestling is excited for other programs from around the country to get back in the mix during the 2021-22 season.
