2020-21 Arizona High School Rankings

2020-21 Arizona High School Rankings: 138

The 138-pound class is top-heavy. Ramon Ramos comes in as the #5-ranked wrestler in the nation and Benjamin Alanis is #11 in the nation. Since November 16, 2019, Ramos has finished first in every tournament first except twice (Freakshow 2020- second, ERAU Mile High Open- third).

Despite being hidden at third, Chris Lopez is no joke. Lopez comes into his senior season with a 58-1 record and Division 2 title.

Sophomore Dalton Loyden is the wrestler to watch in the 138-pound class. Loyden comes off a sixth-place finish in the Las Vegas Holiday Classic and reached the bloodrounds in Flowing Wells, too. Since Ramos and Alanis might not compete in state, Loyden is an early favorite for the Division 1 title.

Sophomore Trent Wikel is an interesting watch as well. Wikel and Loyden are the present and future of the 138-pound class. Wikel has placed at every tournament and finished third in the Division 2 class.
