2020-21 Missouri High School Rankings

2020-21 Missouri High School Rankings: 160

COVID-19 has made it difficult to gauge the growth of the wrestlers, and the weights will more than likely change. Even if someone has wrestled in the summer, he will most likely be at a different weight in the future. Also, Missouri doesn’t release team classifications until the beginning of the season, so classes for teams and wrestlers could change. One big change is Class 1 powerhouse Whitfield will probably be moving up to Class 3 after winning the last four Class 1 titles and six of the last eight. All rankings are based on weights from last year.

After transferring to Father Tolten this past year, Brant Whitaker finally won his first state title after making the finals each year. Whitaker is a former third-placer at Preseason Nationals and NHSCA Sophomore Nationals. A previous member of the Big Board for the class of 2021, Whitaker looks to win his second state title.

Nationally ranked Vincent Zerban attended Christian Brothers his first three years but has since transferred to Civic Memorial in Bethalto, Illinois.

Others in this weight class with some accolades in are 2019 Preseason All-Americans Chance Cole of Ft. Zumwalt North and Trevor Wilson of Hannibal. Wilson was also a USAW folkstyle AA as well.
