2020-21 High School Rankings

182

Jack Wehmeyer turned 182 on its head this weekend. He had been just outside the rankings after a good but not great season last year and a win over #4 Brian Soldano at the Buxton Duals. Comprehensive results from Buxton Duals were hard to find, and it also wasn't clear if Wehmeyer could replicate his win over Soldano. He did that and then some this weekend. The Malvern prep junior beat Soldano again and also took out #2 Rylan Rogers and #12 TJ Stewart. Maybe I'm overcorrecting by moving him all the way to #2, but I don't think so. He's a new man this year at 182, and he deserves the #2 spot.

Rogers, Soldano, Rees, and Stewart all won all other matches they were expected to win this weekend, so that just bump down one spot each as a result of Wehmeyer's rapid climb. Adrien Cramer won the Tulsa Kickoff Classic with a solid win over Wenzel.
