2019-20 NCAA D1 Dual Rankings

Top 25 NCAA D1 Dual Meet Rankings

Before getting mad online, let me explain how we put this top 25 together. Results. All results. If the dual happened we counted the result. It doesn't matter who was or wasn't in the lineup. I could play the what-if game all day, but I'm not going to do it.

Iowa and NC State complete perfect seasons and finish as the top two dual teams in the US of A. The rest of the top five does get a makeover though.

Arizona State lost to Lehigh but then turned around less than 48 hours later and beat North Carolina. While the Sun Devils do have a win over Penn State this season, they have now lost twice to two teams (Ohio State and Lehigh) who Penn State has wins over so the Nittany Lions jump Arizona State. The Sun Devils avoid from falling too far thanks to their wins over Penn State, Ohio State, North Carolina and five other top 25 wins over Purdue, Stanford, Campbell, Missouri, and Iowa State.

North Carolina drops to #7 since Nebraska owns a win over Ohio State and the Buckeyes own a win over the same Arizona State squad that the Tar Heels just lost to. Ohio State also owns a win over Stanford who defeated North Carolina.

Virginia Tech fell from the top six after losing to Pittsburgh on Saturday night. Thanks to the win over the Hokies, the Panthers jump to #9 right behind Oklahoma State who they lost to in Stillwater.

Northern Iowa is the biggest mover of the week. The Panther Train jumps from #24 to #13 after beating Wisconsin in Madison. It's now UNI's second big win of the season (Oklahoma State being the first) and helps outweigh the now unranked losses to South Dakota State and Northwestern. The Panther Train's wins are now better than the 10 teams they jumped.

Campbell moves up another spot and honestly should have last week. Cary Kolat's squad has a win over Oregon State who Michigan lost to earlier this season.

Iowa State punted against Missouri and just barely stay in the rankings because of it. The win by the Tigers over the Cyclones helps Missouri enter the rankings for the first time since the initial set of rankings January 16.

South Dakota State drops out of the rankings after losing to rival North Dakota State. The Bison were on the cusp of getting in the rankings, but Iowa State stopped that Sunday night when they beat NDSU.

If you have questions, feedback, or insults please send them to kyle.bratke@flosports.tv or twee them to me @Kbratke. Next season we won't wait until halfway through the year to start rankings and will have them starting in the pre-season.
