65 - Ismail Musukaev

Ismail Musukaev had one of the best performances at the 2023 World Championships. On his way to gold, Musuakev defeated #2 Takuto Otoguro, #3 Shamil Mamedov, #4 Rahman Amouzad, and #14 Sebastian Rivera. For that performance, Musukaev takes over the top spot at 65 kg.

After the loss to Musuakev, Otoguro forfeited out of the tournament with an injury while Mamedov came back to take bronze by defeating Amouzad. 

Sebastian Rivera comes into the rankings after his silver medal performances and win over Tevanyan in the semi-finals. However, that win was the best of the tournament and Tevanyan was only ranked #18 coming into Worlds. Because of that, Rivera rises to #14 at 65 kg.
